Jaidee ใจดี ("Jaidee", "we", "us", or "our") is a free anonymous mental health platform for students across Southeast Asia, available at jaideeglobal.org. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with care and transparency.

2. What We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address — used for account creation and password recovery only
• Anonymous nickname and avatar — chosen by you during onboarding, displayed publicly on the feed
• Country and school — used to connect you with local resources and counselors
• Posts and replies — content you choose to share on the community feed
• Journal entries — stored privately, visible only to you
• Session bookings — appointment details when you book a counselor session

Information collected automatically:

• Crisis flags — if your journal or posts contain language suggesting serious distress, this is flagged anonymously for our safety team to review
• Usage data — basic app activity to help us improve the platform (no advertising trackers)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Jaidee platform
• To connect you with counselors in your language and timezone
• To detect crisis situations and provide appropriate safety resources
• To send password reset emails and session reminders
• To comply with legal obligations, including mandatory reporting where required by law

4. Your Journal Is Private

Your journal entries are stored securely and are not visible to other users, counselors, or the public. The only exception is our automated crisis detection system, which may flag entries containing language that suggests serious risk of harm. In such cases, an anonymous flag is reviewed by our safety team — your identity is never revealed in this process.

5. Anonymous Posting

Posts on the Jaidee feed are published under your chosen nickname and avatar. Your real name and email address are never attached to public posts. However, please be aware that extremely specific personal details shared in posts could potentially identify you to people who know you.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your data
• Posts and journal entries are deleted when your account is deleted
• Anonymised crisis flags may be retained for safety and legal compliance purposes

7. Children and Minors

Jaidee is designed for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 should have awareness from a parent or guardian that they are using this platform. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at support@jaideeglobal.org.

8. Mandatory Reporting

In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to report disclosures of abuse or imminent risk of harm to relevant authorities, including law enforcement or child protection services. We will always attempt to handle such situations with sensitivity and in accordance with applicable laws in your country.

9. Data Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including secure authentication and access controls. However, no system is completely secure — please use a strong password and keep your login details private.

10. Third-Party Services

Jaidee uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Netlify — hosting and deployment
• Daily.co — video session infrastructure
• Anthropic Claude API — AI chat and translation features

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We select partners who meet high standards of data protection.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• The right to access your personal data
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to delete your account and data
• The right to data portability
• The right to object to certain processing
